Bunkering and cargo

The Port of Skagen holds a central position for goods traffic and bunkering which is very attractive for the more than 60,000 ships passing north of Denmark through Skagerrak every year.

With the best maritime high street position in Northern Europe, Skagen is an ideal base port for bunkering of ships in the roadstead or at one of the three tank facilities on the quay. Bunker One A/S, Malik Energy A/S and FF Handel operate the three tank facilities, and they service the ships calling at the port as well as many of the thousands of ships passing close by every year.

The most recent tank facility in the Port of Skagen was established in November 2015 so the bunkering possibilities match the increasing demand from the international ship traffic between the Atlantic Sea/the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, i.e. traffic both in and out of the SECA area.

Cargo
The conditions for loading or unloading of cargo are optimum at quays 9 and 10. Quay 9 has a length of 450 metres with a water depth of 11 metres whereas quay 10 has a length of 190 metres and a guaranteed water depth of 9 metres. Both quay areas have a width of 30 metres in the entire quay length.

Skagen Havn er en aktiv erhvervshavn med fiskeri, fiskeindustri, værft og servicevirksomheder i en hovedrolle. Aktiviteter knyttet til fiskeriet er kerneområdet, der også skaber omsætning.
